Applications
The Summer Skill Building Camp Scholarship applications will open April 1, 2025, and close June 30, 2025. New School Year Skill Building Scholarship applications will open October 1, 2025, and also close April 1, 2026. Applicants must meet all required qualifications to be eligible for CGBD grants.

Please note that this program is designed to provide financial support to Southfield residents facing economic challenges, with a maximum assistance amount of $300 per child and $600 per family.
We are committed to helping needy families and positively impacting our community. School project funding is allocated per child. Parents must complete a Skill Building application for their child’s activity or camp costs. Scholarship awards follow Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) guideline6
