If you or someone you know is in an emergency, call The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-TALK (8255) or call 911 immediately.

It's not always easy to talk about, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't. Suicide can be a very hard topic to discuss. It effects many people in many different ways.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. There are many great resources available about suicide. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has fantastic resources to help you talk about suicide, recognize the warning signs, and how to get help for you or someone you know.

Check out their Risk of Suicide page to learn about the warning signs and risk factors.
