SPS-TV, Southfield Public Schools' Educational Access Television, has posted the video of the 2016 Youth Recognition Event to their YouTube channel.


Youth Recognition 2016 was held May 5, 2016 at the Lathrup Village Community Room. Southfield Youth Assistance hosts this annual event to recognize youth in the community for their outstanding community service, personal and/or academic achievement, and their commitment to a positive future.

 
 
On Thursday, May 5th, 2016 Southfield Youth Assistance recognized 20 local youth at the annual Youth Recognition Event.

The Youth Recognition event is an initiative to recognize youth in the Southfield and Lathrup Village communities who are nominated and recognized for their outstanding community service, personal and/or academic achievement, and their commitment to a positive future.

As in year past, many local dignitaries were in attendance to congratulate and encourage the young recipients. 

This years ceremony was held at the Lathrup Village Community Room.
 
 
On Friday April 24th, 2015 Southfield Youth Assistance held its annual Youth Recognition Breakfast honoring young people for their outstanding community service, personal and/or academic achievement, and their commitment to a positive future.

Two student speakers shared their thoughts about optimism and happiness with the attendees.
