On Saturday, May 7, 2016, Southfield Youth Assistance held its first "Partnering for Parenting Summer Camp Expo and Jump Rope Don'r Drink Challenge.

On Thursday, May 5th, 2016 Southfield Youth Assistance recognized 20 local youth at the annual Youth Recognition Event.

The Youth Recognition event is an initiative to recognize youth in the Southfield and Lathrup Village communities who are nominated and recognized for their outstanding community service, personal and/or academic achievement, and their commitment to a positive future.

As in year past, many local dignitaries were in attendance to congratulate and encourage the young recipients. 

This years ceremony was held at the Lathrup Village Community Room.
